[Lfm] DESIGN A FLY LOGO AND WIN A CASH PRIZE

Dear Drosophilists,

The organizers of the European Drosophila Research conference (EDRC) to be held in London in September 2017 would like to invite you to submit designs for an EDRC logo. You can let rip with your creativity but it should somehow incorporate the twin ideas of flies and Europe and needs to be generic enough so that it can be used for future EDRC meetings in any European City (we already have a specific 2017 banner design with London themes). The only other restriction is that the design needs to be simple enough so that it is legible even when reduced to a small size e.g as a letterhead logo of about 30mm x 30mm. The creator of the logo that is selected by the organizing committee will receive £100, an acknowledgement on the EDRC 2017 website and the legacy that their logo will likely appear on all EDRC promotional material for millenia to come.

The deadline for submissions by TIFF, pdf, jpeg or ai to Alex.Gould at crick.ac.uk<mailto:Alex.Gould at crick.ac.uk> is Friday 10th June 2016.
