Hello Alex

I am looking to recruit a new postdoctoral associate to my lab at Brown University. I seek your help, if possible, to identify outstanding candidates and direct them to contact me. The projects will continue our work on the hormonal control of aging with Drosophila as a model system. The postdoctoral associate will use advanced fly genetic methods to determine how neurosecretory cells produce systemic signaling peptides that affect physiology and aging. As you know, my lab has a strong background in insect endocrinology, demography, fly genetics and aging biology, and can provide excellent technical and logistic support. I am looking for a productive, skilled associate who is driven to make fundamental discoveries, and has the ability to effectively communicate findings in papers and presentations. I expect the candidate to have a good record of training in Drosophila genetics or particular strengths in insect physiology. My timeline is somewhat flexible to accommodate people about to finish their PhD this spring, or for others who might be on the market in 2018.
