Hi all,

FYI, I’ve received an email announcing that the Kyoto Stock Center is soon discarding ~1500 stocks listed here:

They say:
“Dear KYOTO Stock Center users,

Due to the need to make room for new collections, we determine to remove 1,500 GS insertion lines.  Stocks will be available for order as usual through the shipment on September 21, 2023.  If you think that we should continue to maintain specific insertions of the collection at the KYOTO Stock Center, please contact us via our web-mail site (https://kyotofly.kit.jp/cgi-bin/stocks/webmail_usr.cgi).  We deeply appreciate Dr. Toshiro Aigaki and his co-workers for their great contribution to the KYOTO Stock Center.

KYOTO Drosophila Stock Center では、保存系統数の増加に歯止めをかけるため注文の減ってきたGS系統を段階的に廃棄してきました。その最終ステップとして、今年度は1,500系統を廃棄することにしました
NBRPショウジョウバエ運営委員会では事前に承認をいただいています
KYOTO Drosophila Stock Center では、この削除により新たな系統を受け入れる余裕が生まれます
今後も積極的に収集活動を進めるため、ご理解下さいますようお願いいたします
