I would like to draw your attention to our call for applications for the Champalimaud Doctoral programs (with a track in neuroscience and one in cancer research) which will close soon (20th of  January). As you know we have a vibrant research community, state-of-the-art research infrastructure, and are located in one of the nicest cities in Europe. For students interested in working in Drosophila, we also host a large community of fly researchers, some of which will be recruiting students from the program this year (like mine).

The INCDP provides students with an integrative, state-of-the-art education in either Neuroscience or Cancer. A central goal of the programme is to foster inquiry and discovery by encouraging active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving among the students.

Top evaluated candidates will receive an offer to participate in the PhD programme, which is nominally comprised of an initial year of classes and lab rotations followed by research in the selected lab. Students will apply for fellowships as part of the curriculum, but success in acquiring external fellowships is not required.
