Subject: [Jedi] IDRC | Milan, 6-8 March 2024 - Reminder
Dear Jedi,
Subscriptions are still open for the 20th edition of the Italian Drosophila Conference.
It will be held in Milan, March 6-8, 2024. The meeting brings together the Italian Drosophila Community and is coorganized by Erika Donà (CNR-Institute of Neuroscience), Simona Polo (IFOM) and me. The confirmed keynote speakers will be Florence Besse (IBV, Nizza) and Aurelio Teleman (DKFZ, Heidelberg).
You can find all details, submit an abstract and register here: https://www.ifom.eu/events/xx-drosophila-conference-2024/
I hope some of you will consider it. Italy hosts and small but very active fly community and the meeting is a very informal and pleasant way to get in contact with potential new collaborators and prospective students and postdoc with great training. Milan is a vibrant city, a hub for biomedicine and is easy to reach via the city airport (LIN). It is also a great destination if you want to extend your stay to the weekend.
Please redistribute this information to whoever might be interested as you see fit, especially students and postdocs in your labs that might consider Italy for their next career step!
Best,
Th
Thomas Vaccari, Ph.D.
