Dear All,
We need 3 more speakers for the next LFM in February the 10th. Let us know if you are up for it.
As you may know, the format of the LFM has changed to make it more interactive and boost attendance. See below for more details
Thanks

Dear LFMers,

Hope you had a good Summer! As mentioned several times in the last few LFMs, we have decided to trial a new format to make LFM more interactive and boost attendance. Instead of monthly meetings, we will move to two whole afternoon meetings per year, each with 7 speakers. Please find attached a tentative schedule for these events.

The dates for the 2026 meetings will be (calendar invites attached to this mail):

  1. Tuesday February 10th at the Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology (UCL)

  1.

  1. Friday October 23rd at the Crick

We have tried to avoid major clashes with other fly events. But do get in touch if we’ve missed something. As before, Isabel Palacios will organise the speaker list, please get in touch with her if you are interested in giving a talk on either of these dates. Details of logistics will be sent by Lucy Fea before each meeting. Please note that, in order to make catering and access to the buildings easier, we will ask attendees to register for free on Eventbrite, again Lucy will send details closer to the time. Many thanks to Franck Pichaud and our UCL fly colleagues for hosting our first date.

If you have any questions, please get in touch. Looking forward to seeing you at our first new-format LFM in February!

Nic, Isa and Lucy
