Please see message below from Helen Weavers:

Dear all

Specialist Research Technician, Weavers Group, University of Bristol
Contract: Fixed-term for 2 years (with potential for extension) from Summer/Autumn 2026
Applications close: 20th July 2026

The Weavers Group are recruiting a Specialist Research Technician to contribute towards Drosophila projects running in the lab and provide key operational support. Our group investigates how dynamic cell biology supports tissue resilience to damage, and its dysregulation in ageing and disease. We are based within a vibrant research community at the University of Bristol's Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. The post-holder will be involved in fly genetics, live-imaging and molecular cell biology, as well as support training and general lab organisation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical experience, particularly with Drosophila, to contribute to ongoing research projects while working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. This post is funded by the Wellcome Trust, with potential to extend beyond the advertised two years.

Applications will close on 20th July 2026. Please see the online advert for further details (click here<https://www.bristol.ac.uk/jobs/find/details/?jobId=389592&jobTitle=Specialist%20Technician%20(Research)> or search for SUPP113440 on www.bristol.ac.uk/jobs/find<http://www.bristol.ac.uk/jobs/find>). Informal enquiries to Dr Helen Weavers (Helen.weavers at bristol.ac.uk<mailto:Helen.weavers at bristol.ac.uk>) are welcome.

Many thanks in advance for helping to share these opportunities.
Helen
