<b>dynamic cell biology supporting tissue function and repair</b>. </span></p>

<span style="font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: rgb(33, 33, 33);">Our group studies the cellular mechanisms that enable tissues to thrive, particularly under physiological and environmental challenge. Here, we will probe how cell biology
is precisely patterned across vulnerable tissues, and why its dysregulation drives ageing and disease. This work builds on our recent findings showing how stress responses and metabolism are coordinated across healthy and damaged tissues (e.g. Holcombe & Weavers
<i>Nature Communications</i> 2023). </span></p>

<i>in vivo</i> studies in <i>Drosophila</i> (with live-imaging, genetics, molecular cell biology, spatial ‘omics), with innovative technologies and collaborative works on mammalian and human tissue. Our work spans multiple biological scales - linking the molecular
cell biology of individual cells to the health of whole living tissues and organisms.</span></p>
