Subject: Recruiting Postdocs

Dear Nic,

I am writing to ask your help in recruiting postdocs to an exciting new collaboration between Gregory Giannone in Bordeaux and myself. We are both integrin/mechanobiology enthusiasts and have obtained funding from the HFSP to combine Greg's expertise in imaging single-molecule behaviour with my expertise in Drosophila integrins, with the aim of developing methods to image protein interactions, at the single molecule level, within integrin adhesive structures in living Drosophila. We plan to image structures in the embryo as well as cultured tissues, such as imaginal discs and ovaries.

Please draw this opportunity to anyone you might think would be interested with the attached flyer. It will be a great project for someone interested in really pushing the forefront of imaging methods to connect developmental events with molecular mechanisms. Greg is particularly keen to recruit someone with some fly experience, as well as a love of microscopy, whereas I am looking for someone with excellent molecular biology skills to generate the strains needed for the imaging. We are fairly flexible on the start date, but ideally at the latest by 1st December 2017.

Many thanks for your help, Nick
