Dear Jedi,

The Oxford Brookes University arm of the BBSRC funded Oxford Interdisciplinary Bioscience Doctoral Training Partnership scheme is now open for applications for students to start in September 2022.

It’s a 4 year PhD programme, where students undertake two exploratory research projects with prospective supervisors in their first year before choosing their main 3-year research project. Students also undertake a 12-week professional internship to gain direct experience of the areas of work into which they can apply their skills. Students can undertake their exploratory research projects at any of the seven world-class research institutions that make up the DTP (see links below).

The studentship covers bench fees, stipend, and tuition fees - the bursary is approximately £16,062 for the 2022-2 academic year.

There are Drosophila projects available for aspiring JEDI!!

Please pass on this message to students finishing up their Honours and Masters degrees this academic year, and others who might be interested.

Queries about the scheme should be sent to Dr Andrew Jones: ajones at brookes.ac.uk<mailto:ajones at brookes.ac.uk>
