Dear colleagues,

I’ve just been asked whether I might know of any potential postdoc-level posts for a Ukrainian colleague who works mostly with Drosophila, and who I believe had his own lab in Ukraine but couldn’t continue working there. Hence this mail. Please feel free to circulate further.

He is Oleh Luschak, and his Google Scholar page is here: https://scholar.google.de/citations?user=wqT43csAAAAJ&hl=en<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fscholar.google.de%2Fcitations%3Fuser%3DwqT43csAAAAJ%26hl%3Den&data=05%7C01%7Ccjo1003%40universityofcambridgecloud.onmicrosoft.com%7C3df5f954482b4cb7f6b308db2af5f5b8%7C49a50445bdfa4b79ade3547b4f3986e9%7C1%7C0%7C638151008100706261%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=gUV0lcW%2FajNpiLwCGKFb9E1t0nX1VXB1ud%2BC4Dug0NU%3D&reserved=0>. His research interests are ageing and nutrition. I believe that he is in the UK already and so shouldn’t need a visa to come. If you would like to follow up, then please contact him directly: olushchak at yahoo.com<mailto:olushchak at yahoo.com>

Many thanks to all,
Cahir

Dear Cahir,

Hope you are well. I am writing to ask you for a favour. A Ukrainian friend Oleh Luschak is looking for postdoc positions in the UK, he left the country with his 3 children as it’s impossible to do science there. As he was mostly working with Drosophila I thought perhaps you know of any positions (current or upcoming) in fly labs, if so please let me know.

Thank you,
Viktor
