We are recruiting a Senior Research Technician to provide essential experimental and operational support to the lab. The postholder will be involved in fly genetics, microscopy, molecular biology, behaviour, and lab organisation. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid technical experience in life sciences to contribute to ongoing research projects while working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team investigating the neural mechanisms of decision-making in Drosophila. Funded by the BBSRC, the project combines two-photon calcium imaging, neural circuit manipulation, and quantitative behaviour to understand how competing drives are prioritised in the brain.


We are based in the Birmingham Centre for Neurogenetics within the School of Biosciences, a vibrant research community on a beautiful campus with strong international links.
